BESIS is a compilation of data and documentation from British general elections. The database was compiled and designed by Professor Richard Topf of the Centre for Comparative European Survey Data, London Guildhall University.

An online version of BESIS, now covering 1964 to 2001, has fully replaced the previous CD-ROM version. Users should visit the BESIS website to register an account and use the data.
